Paul Bishop: I am a professional licensed building contractor who operates under Bishop
Construction Inc. I have been involved in local mountain biking and trail building since 1987. I
am currently active in the sport and continue to build, repair, and maintain trails. My efforts over
the past 30 years have been mostly focused on Franke Park by building sustainable natural
surface trails for hiking and biking.
Edward Adams: As a child, I started riding BMX, and this continued into my late teens.
I started riding mountain bikes in 2014 in Florida and immediately was hooked. I volunteered
locally on a regular basis for trail maintenance and expansion. Since moving back to Fort Wayne
(4 years ago), I have continued my love of riding and trail maintenance. I’m an ops manager for
a local heavy equipment company that has donated $4000 for the new pump track to get started.
Franke Park is my home trail system, and I love the growth and community that exist here.
Chris Baumgartner: I have been mountain biking at Franke Park since 2007, and I've been involved with trail work since 2017. Volunteering for SCS has been a very rewarding opportunity to give back to the trail system that I love and use so frequently.
Brian Humphries: 61-year old life long biker. I am currently riding both the Greenway system
and local mountain bike trails. I began actively working on trail maintenance and feature
building during the pandemic under the guidance of Paul Bishop. I am always eager to learn
more and voraciously watch other builders on assorted social media platforms. Additionally, I
am a Councilman on the Roanoke Town Council, current term is 2023-2026. I also serve on the
board of the Roanoke Beautification Foundation, which is an organization managing a large
annuity to be used for the betterment of the Roanoke Downtown area. I grew up in a variety of
businesses owned by my family and consider myself a good steward of public finances.
I look forward to a long and productive partnership with the Fort Wayne Parks Department,
specifically the trail system and Franke Park. I would also like to personally thank the Parks
Department for their consideration of our organization as official stewards of the Franke Park
trail system and envision not only maintenance and construction, but also education in mountain
biking as we move forward.
Dan Ramsey: I grew up riding bike quite often since we lived in the country. While most of
the riding was to get from a to b, I was introduced to mountain bikes in early 2023. I found that
riding was an excellent outlet for me both mentally and physically. Since then, I have been
working on continually improving the trails maintenance and features at Franke Park.
